KDDI au - Spring Collection 2008
According to KDDI, 'au' comes from a few words that the letters 'a' and 'u' stand for. 'a' meaning 'access, always and amenity' and 'u' standing for 'unique, universal and user'.
They released their Spring Collection 2008 in January, featuring 14 phones from many big Japanese brand names such as, Sony Ericsson, Toshiba and Sharp.
It is safe to say that we will never see these types of amazing designed and styled phones over in the west...well not until 50 years time, which seems to be the technology gap between Japan and the rest of the world.

Nokia - Morph Nanotechnology Concept
Nokia MorphNokia's demonstration shows how versatile, flexible and stretchable a possible future mobile device could be, even to the point of changing the device into a whole new shape.
Ultimately the demo was to show the functionality that nanotechnology might be capable of, as well as the use of flexible surface materials and electronics which cannot be seen.
The future is still bright, however its not really orange no more, but more of a light green.
